The Shome

                                                  I call it the SHOME (Shop + Home) At Sector 6, Kharghar

METRO

                                     Every City Wants A  'M E T R O' these days

Phase One

The Six Stations
My guess; They all look the same.
Hope they will be planned differently according to where they are located

Utsav Chowk Station

Work in full swing

Concern:  Metro being build on the storm water drains

 Open drains to Underground drains
      Possibility that these get clogged with plastics and we might face flooding

Concern: Cutting Trees (Median)

                                                     A new divider for our streets

  Initially a place to park car and throw waste
 and Now....

                                                  Well these are my observations and views;

Curious Case of Skywalk

The Curious Case of the Sky-walk of Kharghar - Why was it built !
Was it Need Base or Just someone's Vision ?

In my opinion it would have been a better idea to restrict its length as a pedestrian over-bridge required to cross the highway.

  The serpent eats away view and identity of Kharghar

The only thing that catches my attention in this photograph is the Winding Road on the Hill Top

Sooner...the highway will meet the service road
The shadow space below the sky-walk will invite informal vendors and hawkers

 Couple's Seat - Place for PDA

Our public spaces can never be complete without these.....

                                        AC Patil College Corridors - A Place to See and To Be Seen

No doubt the city looks magnificent from the sky-walk;
But the sky-walk looks NOT SO MAGNIFICENT from the roadway or apartment windows

 Shadow Car Parks - Sky-walk serving the purpose of Trees

 Perhaps they should also start using the sky-walk!

Guess its signalling us to Stop for a while and Retrospect

Waiting to see how the sky-walk gets used along the years and how it integrates with the upcoming Metro
